AR 11455 is still complex but apparently starting to decay now. 0926 UT. 0953 UT. A new active region (11459) has appeared at the eastern limb and looks as though it might be interesting when it comes round a bit more. There is definitely some flaring activity going on here. 0930 UT 0955 UT CaK overview shows the general "quietness" of the solar disk: 0905 UT but there are several filaments, as shown on the Ha mosaic I posted yesterday linkyProminences are notable, especially the arch in the south which appeared to have rapid spiral motion in its "legs". 0958 UT 1000 UT 1001 UT 1003 UT Usual equipment used. Seeing was fairly unsteady with boiling motion which was quite severe at times.
