A bit of clear sky last night but the seeing was very unsteady. Decided to have a shot at Saturn as Mars was getting a bit low, and Saturn is big enough to image well at prime focus. Celestron CPC 1100, prime focus (f/10), Astronomik type 2c colour seperation & Planet Pro 742 filters, DMK21. Main image (RGB composite) has been upscaled 150%, individual colours are natural size. 500 images stacked from each of four 3000 exposure AVIs. Cassini's Division barely visible. Bright equatorial band very prominent. Note that the north polar cap is very dark in infra red, it almost looks like it has been cut off! The ring is bluer than the globe. Transparency excellent, seeing poor with considerable boiling. Temp -3C, wind calm.
