Hi, This is first time I have tried uploading photos so here goes... All the pics were taken through my nexstar se6, the orion nebula and pinwheel galaxy photo were taken using John's Nikon D300 and the Mars and Saturn photos were both from about 300 frames captured on a neximage usb camera (basically a toucam II web cam). So far we have been just trying out different camera settings and trying to learn how to get sharper focus. On nights when conditions are poorer I just enjoy looking at random objects through the eyepiece. Got a Canon 1000D last week but still only half way through the instruction book so far although it has been cloudy every single night so didn't miss much All pics except for Mars were taken before we found out the collimation was off so hopefully the next pics will be better. Its still hard to beat just gazing into the eyepiece of scope and just admiring the wonders ;D Attachments:

Hey Paddy, you seem to have got off to an excellent start there - my first images were nowhere near as good. It's a fun and thrilling learning curve - enjoy it and keep at it, and keep sharing your results with us!
Clear skies,
Paul.

It's easier to learn in the daylight .... once the handling is "natural" it's a good time to start the complications of working in the dark.
