Hi all,
I have a pair of 30x80 binocs, but am thinking of upgrading to 25x100's for the new super comet which must be just around the corner!
Has anyone any experience of these?
Terry

Hi Terry, Big Bino's eh! I suppose you'll be keeping an eye on any more special offers from Lidl ha ha!!! I don't know if you would gain much in terms of light grasp compared to the 80mm bino's you already have if used in light polluted skies, but if you are prepared to get to a dark site you might see a small improvement. The other factor is the size and weight issue.......you will need a SERIOUS tripod for 100mm binos. Of course, don't let me put you off the idea!! I read a review of Strathspeye binos on the EAAS site a few months ago, but I can't remember who wrote it, or what model. David Collins has a BIG pair (binos) 30x125 I think.
