Nice pics of a nice display. Where did you get the clear sky from? Every day this week there's been solid stratoculmulus rolling in before it's gone properly dark

It suddenly cleared up and stayed clear. Had quite a lot of clear nights recently including last night which was unexpected. No NLCs observed last night though.

First clear night for ages last night (Jun 17/18) - pity the Moon was such a nuisance but there was a nice NLC display from 0015 until at least 0145 UTC. 0144 UTC Jun 18. 1 sec @ f/2.8, ISO 800, 17mm, Canon 40D, darkened 2/3 stop in raw converter for extra impact. Would have been better if taken before sky lightened so much, but I was otherwise occupied.
