Folks, Here's some detail on the Green Living Fair. "IAA at WWT. The highly successful annual Green Living Fair will be held at the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust, Castle Espie, Comber, Co Down, on Sat 16 & Sun 17 September. The theme is all about sustainability & minimising our environmental impact on the Earth. The IAA will have a stand there, promoting the themes of: Earth as a planet, Greenhouse effect (Venus as an example), comparison with other planets e.g. Venus & Mars, energy See yoyufrom other SS bodies, light pollution, solar energy, solar effects on climate, atmospheric phenomena (aurorae, meteors rainbows etc), & anything else in astronomy & space related to the theme. We'll have telescopes on display, a solar oven or two, DVDS, & other exhibition material. Come along & help out, or just to see. If you come by bicycle, you get in free!" Hello Philip, The 29th or 30 ok, since the Moon will be absent we could make it a dark sky event, so Broughshane road carpark might be good. We could bring a barbie, or the IAA flasks for tea or coffee, but we need other input. Regards, John. PS is it worthwhile bringing a scope to GLF?
