Lack of time prevented full coverage today. Persistent changes in transprency due to high cloud and poorish seeing didn't help either. The Sun remains active, with a new active area (AR 11465) developing near the eastern limb. Overviews: 1004 UT. Solarscope 60, 0.5x focal reducer, DMK41 0933 UT. Coronado PST CaK, prime focus, DMK41 New AR 11465, showing the characteristic "bar magnet" appearance of a developing active region: 0956 UT. Solarscope 60, 2.5x Powermate, DMK21 AR 11459 remains interesting, with a snake like filament following behind it: 0955 UT. Solarscope 60, 2.5x Powermate, DMK21 AR 11460 remains large & busy: The south west sector of the disc contains two active regions (11462 & 11463) and a humungous filament:
