If the audience will forgive a shameless plug, for the past month or so I have been running a photographic Blog. It's likely to be of interest to some here for its astrophotographic content and also as it has a couple of snaps of the day out in Armagh recently. paulni.blogspot.com/Enjoy! Paul.

Paul I had a good read through your blog and images last night and was very impressed by the attractive and professional lay out. Your great images and narrative were a joy to read. Nice work!

Thank you Martin! I've found, particularly in the digital age, that I take many more photographs than I actually do anything with, and some of them are worth sharing. I try to explain a bit about them too which keeps me busy as if I'm not busy enough!
Clear skies,
Paul.

Hi Paul, Some great images in there, you definitely know how to use a camera to best effect! I was thinking about incorporating some kind of photo blogging into the IAA website perhaps using blogger, but I am just trying to think of the best way to go about it. I mean, should there be a separate blog for you, Martin, John, etc or should there be one master photo blog, or is there no point in a photo blog at all, and just use the forum? I'm not sure, I think Mark at the EAAS said he was going to do something like that. Robert.

Thanks Robert - I have been using cameras from an early age so you'd think that I'd have made all the mistakes by now - but I still make them! I get better though :-)
I came to the conclusion with my own site that there are two requirements - an archive gallery and a rolling blog. One has order and is a historical record and one has topicality - or to put it another way one is photos by subject, one is photos by date.
I like Blogger in its latest incarnation. As long as you have some hosting space - I have my own but Tinypic is very usable - then Blogger does all the rest and seems pretty spam proof.
Paul.

You're welcome Martin. When I finish my main site it will also have a links page with your sites on it.
Paul.
