Hi folks,
There will be an IAA observing session tonight, 24-9-11, at Delamont Country Park, starting around 7.30pm. Just drive in through the main gates and go to the main car park. I'd rate weather conditions as 50/50, but we may get a few clear spells. Usual conditions apply, wrap up warmly, and bring something to eat/drink etc. Our targets will be the summer milky way and if clear later on, a look at the mighty Jupiter! I'd especially like to take this opportunity to welcome any new members and non members, indeed anyone interested in astronomy and telescopes etc, to come along with any telescopes/binoculars for some advice and a bit of craic! We may as well enjoy these balmy evenings as it looks like we are going to have another hard winter!
You can ring me on my mobile at 07808736963

Hi folks, A big thank you to all who attended our first observing session of the new season, a few stalwarts a few new faces made for a great evenings craic. When the wind blew the cloudy and hazy conditions away, we were rewarded with beautifully clear skies with the lovely milky way overhead. Clear skies David Attachments:

I had a message from Sharon Maxwell who remarked that everyone was very friendly & helpful on her first observing night and that she hopes to be at the next one.
