Hi Folks,
The planned Quadrantid Meteor Observing at Delamont tonight 3/1/11 is cancelled due to a passing weather front coming in from the north, with predicted rain and possible snow showers. These should clear in the early hours so there is a slim possibility of a few breaks in the clouds for the partial solar eclipse at dawn on the 4th. Terry Moseley will be at Knockagh Monument and I hope to be there also, depending on road conditions etc. If there are any more updates, I'll post them here, or you can ring my mobile on 07808736963.
Don't forget to put your feet up and tune into BBC2 tonight at 8pm for the first of three Stargazing Live programmes, there will hopefully be clear skies somewhere in the UK!
A Happy New Year to all!
David.
