Folks, There will be an IAA Observing Night at Big Colin carpark just outside Ballyclare on Sat. 27th January. Meet around 7.00pm. The main object for the session will be the moon and it's occultation of the Pleiades. Should be well worth seeing.
Everyone is welcome to attend and if you have a scope or binoculars then bring them along. Bear in mind that it's cold, so wrap up well and bring something warm to drink. Remember to preserve everyones dark vision. Don't forget red torches.
I'll post a note to this thread at around 5.30pm on the night to confirm if we are going ahead, incase the weather looks poor.
We hope to have along a ,10" Dob., a new 12" Lightbridge and an LX90 8" Sct. So the more the merrier. If anyone needs directions, then send me an e-mail to Phil_29@excite.com. I'll send you a map. For any new members attending ask for John Hall.
Best regards Pook
