Still processing Ha detail images, but there's enough here for a start. White Light: There are three active areas on the disc: 1045 which is MEGA, 1046 which is insignificant in proportion about about which we would have been raving a few months ago, and a new as yet unnumbered one peeking over the east limb. Here's a full disc white light image, the scale isn't enough to show the "minor groups" properly but it does put 1045 into perspective. 2010 Feb 08, 1202 UT. 80mm f/6 refractor, Atik x0.5 focal reducer, Baader ND5.0 solar film & solar continuum filter, DMK41. And here's my effort at a white light closeup of AR1045: 2010 Feb 08, 1235 UT. 80mm f/6 refractor, 4x Imagemate, Baader ND5.0 solar film & solar continuum filter, DMK41. And here's the activity in CaK: Whole Disk: 2010 Feb 08, 1158 UT. Coronado PST CaK, prime focus (f/10), DMK41. AR 1045: 2010 Feb 08, 1242 UT. 60mm, Lunt B1200 CaK diagonal, x3 barlow (f/18.9), DMK41. The small intense white spot appears to be a real feature! AR 1046: 2010 Feb 08, 1330 UT. 60mm, Lunt B1200 CaK diagonal, x3 barlow (f/18.9), DMK21. New AR: 2010 Feb 08, 1330 UT. 60mm, Lunt B1200 CaK diagonal, x3 barlow (f/18.9), DMK21. Last for now, a full disk taster of the Ha activity: 2010 Feb 08, 1304 UT. Solarscope 60, Atik x0.5 focal reducer, DMK41. Transparency generally good but with drifting clouds at times. Seeing fairly poor. Temp +5C, wind E force 4.
