I did a watch from 00.00UT to 03.00UT this morning (Dec 13/14) when it clouded over. In that time I saw 45 Geminids and 2 sporadics. There seemed to be quite a few passing through Perseus so I had a go with the camera. Managed to get a couple on camera this one was the best. Nearly all were in the order of 1st Mag with a couple of brighter ones. Also on this image is a hint of the nebulosity associated with the center of Perseus at top left. Canon 400D 50mm 1.8 lens 20 secs on ISO1600 at f2.8. Attachments:

Nice catch John, I had a good go with the camera taking over 500 exposures over Saturday and Sunday nights with no success, though I saw over 20 between the two nights - Sunday's in particular was looking through the gaps in approx 75% cloud cover - there was less cloud Sat but still a fair bit. I set my alarm for 0430 Mon AM but cloud was 100% at that point. Tonight may get another look - forecast is for more broken cloud.
Paul.

Thanks very much! Here's the second image I got with one on, it's just leaving the frame bottom right. There was a lot of moisture in the air so I had to use the hairdryer several times to dry the lens! Attachments:
