This was recently discovered. It's poorly placed low in the early evening sky at present but I managed to capture it a couple of times on the images I take for photometry of the nearby variable R Scuti! Here's a stack of the 15 images I made on 12 Nov, mid exposure time 1858 UT, Canon 40D, 50mm, unfiltered, subexposures 5 sec @ f/2.0, ISO 400. The nova is clearly "underexposed" but I was able to find it on the individual frames & measure its brightness at 7.60 +/- 0.04 in the green layer (approximates to V band). I also measured it at 8.48 +/- 0.04 on Nov 10.77 - the frames were taken before I was aware of the nova's position, but not pre-discovery.
