Hi Folks, The weather is looking reasonable for some observing tomorrow night, so Delamont is "ON" for the 18/9/15. It should be mostly clear for most of the evening with little wind coming from the west, so it shouldn't be too cold. Usual rules apply, wrap up well (especially feet!) and bring something to eat/drink etc. If you are new to our observing sessions at Delamont, please make yourself known and ask any of our experts on observing, they will be more than willing to help you find your way around the sky and enjoy the views through the telescopes etc. If the sky is clear, the Milky way will be spectacular See Neil's excellent thread detailing some things to look out for. Delamont is on the main Comber to Downpatrick road, the entrance is 1 mile south of Killyleagh. Drive in past the caravan park and drive the main car park, please try to arrive between 7.30- 8pm, so car headlights won't spoil astronomers night adaption! Unfortunately, I can't make it on Friday, but if its clear again on Saturday night, I'm up for another session at Delamont on the 19th. I'll do another update on Saturday to confirm. Please let me know if you can make either or both on 07808736963 Clear skies David (observing co-ord')

Hi all,
Enjoyed last night. It was very hazy even foggy at times but decent views of the milky way. Moon and Saturn were good, as were the Iridium Flares and the numerous satellites.

Hi all,
Hope you all had a good night, sorry I couldn't be there. Neil, how many where there, just for the record?
I was hoping for some clear skies tonight, but due to cloudy skies, observing tonight 19th is cancelled.
See you on Wednesday for our first lecture at QUB, Leo Enrigjt is not to be missed!
David
