Thierry Legault went to Oman for the partial eclipse and took this amazing image: He had a half-second window as the ISS passed in front of the sun's disc. Check out the rest of his site, the images are wonderful. legault.perso.sfr.fr/

Amazing image, seen it or one like it on the bbc2 program this evening. Is there software available that predicts when the ISS crosses in line of the sun or a website where a prediction can be obtained?

Calsky. You need to set up your geographical position pretty accurately ...

Thanks for that Brian, I had never seen that website before, there's quite a lot of useful information on it.

Im guessing that the new member "first" is a spam robot? The links look highly doubious and the scanner says they are blacklisted on its database. Be careful if you decide to click on them (php)

Good for you Paddy! I see it's been removed. BTW. I've still got your 'wee bag' from the Stargazing Live night at Oxford Island. I'll bring it to the next obs. night. Pook
