Hi Folks,
The IAA will be holding a 'Perseid Party' at Delamont Country Park, near Killyleagh, Co Down, just off the A22 between Killyleagh and Downpatrick tonight 12th at 8pm. This will be a 'Fry-up', rather than a BBQ, so bring any sort of a gas or spirit cooker you may have, plus frying pan, and whatever grub & drinks you want. Also your own plates, cups/mugs, cutlery etc.
Everyone is welcome to join us for some good craic, but remember to bring a comfortable lounger and wrap up warmly as it will get chilly in the fresh north westerly winds.
Bring you camera and try to photograpgh a perseid, first to photograph one wins a prize!!
See you all there
David.

Hi all
A group of us went along last night and had a wonderful time! Thank you to all who made us feel so welcome and to those who gave time to explain, so patiently, about all that was happening in the skies above. We'll definitely try and make it to one of the solar days that are coming up soon.
Thanks again.
;D

Great event last night, skies were amazing and only 30 mins from the light pollution of Belfast. Top venue.

Really sorry I missed this, couldn't get to Delamont unfortunately as the person who I was to travel down with wasn't very well.
Skies were as clear as could be hoped for over the city so I did see a handful of meteors including one that was very bright around 00:30.
