Hi Folks, I have a Philips Toucam and Windows 7 platform. Does anyone know how to operate this webcam with Windows 7? Philips won't be publishing any Windows7 drivers for this device as they say it is obsolete Regards, Virgo

1. Configure your system for dual boot & install Win XP as well.
2. If you have the Pro version of Vista / Win 7 you should be able to create a virtual machine & install Win XP into that.
3. Obtain a (relatively cheap) netbook running Win XP to use for capturing AVIs. This has other advantages in that the power consumption of a netbook is a lot lower, and if you do need external power, they run on 12V rather than needing a higher voltage & consequently a lossy adapter to drive them from your scope's 12V supply.

Hello Brian, Thanks for your solutions. I think obtaining a netbook would be the best option, as the alternatives might be a tad risky. Regards, Virgo.

The neximage camera can also be reflashed to think its a SPC900NC with this method. I have done it on mine so I could have more options on exposure rates and output codec, I had just got fed up using RAW mode on the neximage and converting files. The new YUY2 codec option is giving me similar quality images to the neximage RAW mode . Haven't got windows 7 to test it on but working fine on xp pro.
Thanks for the links toothdr, Cheers, Paddyman
