Looks like there's some chance of a decent sky, al least up until midnight or maybe a bit longer.... Good to see BBC NI taking an interest.... news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/northern_ireland/8363891.stmEnjoy, and please post any reports and/or pictures here. Paul.

Don't want to be a "wet blanket" but the cloud loves that task ... and I'm afraid the satellite photos look discouraging.
In any case, any meteors seen before midnight are highly unlikely to be Leonids, as the radiant doesn't rise until nearlly midnight. Quite a few Taurids about still.

Hmmm .... clear till 18:45, solid cloud by 19:15, raining by 21:00, judging by the IR sat photos no chance of it clearing before dawn.

Yep, you're quite right Brian - clouded over shortly after sunset - I saw the 1723 ISS but not the 1749 Shuttle and by 1800 it was wall to wall cloud and it still is!
What I don't get is the way the BBC forecasts actually contradict the cloud maps shown on the very same page!?
Friday looks good for those going to Roe Valley.
Paul.
