Hi Folks, Well all the entries are in and the winner is Prof. Alan Fitzsimmons of Q.U.B. Shear guts and determination drove Alan to get the best out of his camera in capturing the first Perseid of the night . He persisted for hours searching for that streak of light and was never deterred by the handicaps thrown at him such as dew and comments about wide angled lens. Alan ignored all of these and it paid off. Very well done! I'll be in touch re the prize. Kind regards to all. Pook

Excellent work Alan, beat me to it!
Is there any truth in the rumour that the prize is a frying pan, as used at Delamont, needs washed??
Paul.

Paul, Brilliant suggestion, wish I had thought of that one, as it would have saved me time at the sink! Pook
