I have a friend looking for advice on buying an astronomical telescope on a budget of £150. Unfortunately he looked for advice after the open night at the IAA.
6" Dobsonian, the budget is just enough with shopping around. Unfortunately the Skywatcher I have would be out of his budget.
The TAL1 looks interesting and is just about in budget.
Basically any suggestions.

Hi, The Celestron EQ90 makes for a good choice C/W a EQ 3 Mount and sturdy Tripod, I have one that I now use as a guide scope for my 8 inch Reflecttor can't fault them for £150. See www.f1cameras.com for Celestron, Skywatcher etc. I have found them very reliable and get most my equiptment from them they will take bank transfer payments too. Try ebay for Phenix scopes made in china but hey wat isent these days. Good optics and even better prices and value for money. See www.skysthelimit.org.ukRegards David
