Hi all, new recruit here saying hello. I have been along to a few of this seasons lectures and thoroughly enjoyed them! Particularly looking forward to this weeks lecture on the Solar Eclipse as myself and my fianceé were lucky enough to experience totality on 21st Aug 2017 from a little place called Oak Grove in Kentucky. Awe inspiring to behold! By way of introduction I've attached a shot of the eclipse as we saw it with Regulus (I think) just about visible to the left. This is a composite of 9 images which I have combined in a somewhat amateurish fashion using free image editing software called GIMP. After travelling thousands of miles and doing some last minute cloud dodging to witness this spectacle I was delighted to have this as a souvenir and thought I would share it with you all. Enjoy!
