Hi everyone, im a new member and just getting used to this site. I have always loved astronomy but never actively did anything about it. I recently got a telescope and cant get using it properly because of shorter nights, light pollution coz i live in the city and i wouldnt feel safe to drive alone somewhere remote. Hopefully i can tag along with some of you sometime. Jacqui ?

Hi Jacqui, this forum is pretty quiet during the summer because of the long bright evenings, you would get a much quicker reply during the astronomy "season" from September onwards. Im sure some members would be happy for you to tag along with them when the observing nights resume in the Autumn. Keep an eye on the "observation" section of the forum closer to the time

Jacqui as paddyman says the observing season is, well, sort of over right now! We start up regular meetings again in September and if you keep your eye there you'll see when dates are on to come to Delamont country park around 8pm and I'm sure we'll get you sorted out.
In the meantime, just watch the sky with the naked eye and learn constellations and observe where you are, it'll help in the long run!
