ADVANCE NOTICE The IAA's next scheduled observing session at Delamont Country Park is planned for the 19th-20th of December, which is our second choice for observing this month. Prospects for this Friday are about 50/50, with a possibility of showers and windy conditions, so check this forum again on Friday afternoon for an update on that, if its on I'll also text to anyone who has given me their mobile number. But if its cloudy we'll aim for Saturday, fingers crossed Clear skies David

Hi folks, Unfortunately, due to cloudy and windy conditions, with a possibility of showers, observing for 19th December is cancelled. Please check the forum again tomorrow, wind and showers will be easing, so hopefully we will get some clear spells See you all then, bring your Santa hats and mince pies Clear skies David

Hi folks, Unfortunately, due to cloudy conditions, observing for 20th December is cancelled. As it turned out, last night was mostly clear, with little or no rain in Belfast, not sure about Delamont though. The main problem was wind, which makes telescopic observing difficult. On behalf of the IAA, may I wish you all a happy and peaceful Christmas, and lets hope for some clear skies in the new year David
