Thursday Feb 27, 19:45. Lots of cloud in the northern sky but there is a clear auroral glow along the whole northern part of the sky, about as bright as the Milky Way in Cygnus & reaching halfway up to Polaris. SpaceWeather seems to think it might get better. Will attempt to get images if/when cloud clears.

22:00 Been watching for a good while now, lots of images taken, superb display, best since 2003 - quiescent arc at times but mostly with a fair bit of structure & occasionally red rays reaching 60 deg altitude. If you are missing this one I'm sorry for you. Edit: images added:
