Hi folks, The weather is looking reasonable tonight so there will be an IAA observing session, 1-11-13, at Delamont Country Park, starting around 7.30pm. There may be some mist/fog later on but there should be plenty of viewing opportunities. Just drive in through the main gates and go to the main car park. Usual conditions apply, wrap up warmly, and bring something to eat/drink etc. Our targets will be the summer milky way and if clear later on, a look at the mighty Jupiter! I'd especially like to take this opportunity to welcome any new members and non members, indeed anyone interested in astronomy and telescopes etc, to come along with any telescopes/binoculars for some advice and a bit of craic! See you there David B Stewart (observing coordinator)

Hi Folks, Thanks to all of you who were at Delamont last night, a bit hazy at the start but it cleared up and turned into a good night of observing and craic The dew was heavy and forced a couple of scopes to be packed away early, but thanks to Sharon for some home made buns Cruiser, As we were observing on 1st Nov', that fulfills the IAA commitment for observing this month at Delamont. Keep an eye on the front page and the forum for upcoming events and regular observing. David
