Hi everyone just joined the IAA at the end of last year. I have been talking to Andy in Noth Down Telescopes about buying my new set up witch I should be ordering in about two weeks. Has anyone had experiences of the skywatcher 200pds on a neq6 pro mount, I'm going to do some astro photography using a Canon 600d any thoughts everyone.
Thanks billyfish72

Hi Billy and a belated welcome to the Association! I don't have any direct experience of that setup though you can rest assured that it's a good setup and will be capable of excellent results. I use a Meade LXD75 with 8" Schmidt-Newtonian scope and a Sony A700 myself - similar spec though a few years older. Two things you need to work at getting right - Alignment and Focus. Once you get those right just take photos and enjoy experimenting, as much in the electronic darkroom as by the scope! We have a few keen imagers including myself - just talk to us at the meetings and observing nights and we'll gladly share our experiences.
Clear Skies,
Paul.

Thanks Paul, Andy from Noth Down Telescopes is going to help with set up of my new scope. Looking forward to seeing results from an 8" reflector compared to the 4" Tasco scope i have at the moment. Im sure the mount and scope will have a steep learning curve but looking forward to getting to grips with it. billyfish72
