Hi folks, There will be an IAA observing session tonight, 5-4-13, at Delamont Country Park, starting around 8pm. The weather conditions are looking great this evening Comet Panstarrs will be on display, and for those wanting to stay on a bit later in the evening, we'll be looking at some springtime galaxies also. This is the last IAA observing session in the current programme, so "Come on down" for a bit of craic and enjoy the best of the springtime skies. Usual conditions apply, wrap up warmly, and bring something to eat/drink etc, and if you need some advice on your telescopes and binoculars, bring them along too. See you there............I'll be a bit late though David Stewart (observing coordinator)

Hi all, A big thank you once again for another super night at Delamont. A good turnout with excellent skies! Comet Pan-Starrs was an excellent start to the evening and we all had excellent views through Ivans big 12" scope. Once the skies darkened, it was then time to search out some galaxies, I for one got lost somewhere in the Virgo cluster We had a spot of bother with local youths driving around us in their cars with their headlights on, but when they went to bed we where left to enjoy the super skies again. Not long after that, a Police car pulled up and 2 friendly bobbies got a look through Peter's scope at Saturn! We then made them aware of the troublesome hoods........... Keep an eye on the front page and on Terry's email alerts for upcoming events during the summer, lets hope for better weather than previous years Dave
