Hi All, As I'm sure you've all suspected the 'Fry up' and observing tonight is cancelled due to the weather. Better luck next year.
Don't forget we are at Castle Espie on Sunday 14th Aug. 2 - 5pm for a 'Solar observing' day and we will have Star shows in the mobile planetarium as well as displays, telescopes and meteorites.
See you all then. Pook

Hi everybody,
An added attraction for tomorrow is that we have the loan of the compressed air rocket-launching kit from Armagh Planetarium. This consists of two foot-pump-operated launchers, plus materials to make your own rockets!
Anyone who was at the day Mt Stewart last year will know the fun that can be had with these rockets, so come along and join in!

Just 2 questions regarding the rocket-launching tomorrow.
1. Will the IAA council member (D.C.) who badly lost out to a kid & then tired to put his name onto her rocket to win be there? 2. Will the old lady who was obliviously sitting at the end of the rocket flight paths be there?
Was great fun last year, lets hope this is as good...
