Hi folks,
There will be an IAA observing session tonight, 26-3-11, at Delamont Country Park, starting around 6.30pm. We can try and catch Mercury low in the west after sunset, so get there early if you can. I'd rate weather conditions as 50/50, but we may get a few clear spells ;D Usual conditions apply, wrap up warmly, and bring something to eat/drink etc. If you need some advice on your telescopes and binoculars, bring them along too.
You can ring me on my mobile at 07808736963

Hi all, Thanks to all who attended our observing session on Sat' night, and to all those who left early (no names to avoid blushes ) and not wanting to rub it in too much.............you missed another great night ;D When the skies eventually cleared, we looked at Saturn rising in the south east, then on to to some lovely edge on galaxies Definately worth waiting for! Our next and last observing session in the 10-11 season is on the 8th-9th April, which will have a first quarter Moon and Saturn, and if it stays clear later on, we will be hunting down some more galaxies in the virgo cluster See you all there!
