Hi Folks, There will hopefully be an IAA observing session at our usual spot in Delamont Country Park on Fri 7th or Sat 8th May, which will be our last observing session until the new season in Sept. It won't be getting dark until 9.45pm or so, so I would hope to be there around 8.30pm to set up etc. Usual rules apply, wrap up and bring a flask of tea/coffee, plus your scopes and bin's of course! If you are interested in coming down, please reply to this post, or ring me on 07808736963, so I know who is coming. Please check this forum around 6pm on Fri' for confirmation, depending on the weather. See you there David (observing coordinator)

Hi folks, Its good to see the stalwarts are up for some observing and chocci bicci's (thanks Jo)!! Friday night is looking better than Sat' night, so keep an eye on this thread around 6pm on Fri'. A suggestion........could we try to park our cars (and chip vans) in such a way that all our gear is assembled in one area, with cars either side of us. This will give us a little protection from stray light, and other undesirables See you there David.

Hi folks, A big thank you to all who where at Delamont last night, and a special thanks to Jo for the cocktail sausages and chocolate biscuits to keep us going when the temperatures dropped Visual delights for the evening included a lovely sunset, a look at Venus, Mars and Saturn with 5 moons! We also had 2 passes of the ISS reaching -3 to -4 mag', a superb sight. The skies eventually darkened to reveal a very transparent sky thanks to a north westerly wind, and we looked at some springtime deepsky targets before packing up for home. The next IAA event is the Summer solstice event on 19th June, keep an eye on the IAA frontpage for details. Clear skies David.
