Hi there! Took advantage of the clearng skies on Friday last to image M45 from relatively light polluted Dungannon.First light on my replacement Takahashi Epsilon 180 was M45.Slightly over two hours of imaging this cluster provided me with approx 50 sub frames which were registered and stacked along with dark frames in DSS.DDP was carried out in MaxIm DL 5 and post processing in Photoshop CS4.I used a modified Canon DSLR 50d with an Astronomik light pollution filter. Other targets include M31 and the Horse head nebula. Rsults to follow!!!!! In camera iso was 800 and the focal ratio of the epsilon 180 was F/2.8 Regards Martin Campbell Attachments:

Martin,
Welcome to the forum! That's what I call an entrance! Actually Terry M sen me that image which I put on the front page of the website, though this one's bigger for those who want to see more detail. And I'm very much looking forward to seeing you results on M31 and the Horsehead!
Clear skies,
Paul.
