Well Friday night was so good that despite suffering from the lurgy from hell, I found time to haul my mount into the garden and get a few snaps to keep me busy with DSS for a while. Here's M33 - could probably do with a few more frames in the stack but it's better than I've ever got before... And here's M31... Clear skies, Paul.

Certainly better than most we've had recently ... but the transparency was "off", mostly due to light fog / thin very low cloud which was a nuisance from midnight on; the dew was exceptionally heavy (ran down a 70AH deep cycle battery trying to keep my optics dry, not entirely successfully either) and the seeing was awful.
Nothing like a bit of fresh air for curing the dreaded lurgy - if you can't be bothered to learn to play in a brass band (The Goon Show, November 1954)
