Well wasn't that a good night! A group of us from the IAA visited a dark site away from the lights of Belfast awaiting that magical time between the Sun going down and the Moon coming up. The clouds eventually cleared away too and within the space of 90 mins I saw 15 Perseids and a couple of sporadics - Jude saw 24 but I was attending to the camera! We saw a few more after we got home, but by then the clouds were getting the better of the night. Here's my snaps - any others to add, post them up here or mail them to me and I'll put a gallery together! Hi Paul, What a brilliant night!! After the cooking everyone was well in form to settle down and watch for those camera shy Perseids. Not easy to catch in the lens. So well done! Your in with a shout for prize but I expect more entries. Great group shot and it was good to see more people arriving throughout the evening as well as a group from ROI. To sum it up, a spectacular night. Pook
