So not just Meteors frying in the sky, but a "Bring your own Frying Pan and Bangers, Burgers etc" evening. Date: Wednesday 12th August 2009 Time: 1930 BST onwards. Note the gate doesn't allow arrivals after 2100 - only departures. Location: Delamont Country Park www.delamontcountrypark.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=6&Itemid=2On the A22 Downpatrick - Comber road, 5 miles from Downpatrick and 1mile from Killyleagh. IMPORTANT Due to the vagaries of the Irish weather, we will take a decision as to whether this is a go-er or not at or before 1800 BST on 12th August. Please check this thread after that time before setting out. Prospects for a good display look good this year with several early Perseids already having been spotted, however the Moon is not so favourable and many fainter meteors will be lost to the moonlight. Clear Skies, Paul.

Hi Paul, Count me in on that one! I'll bring a double ring cooker. We'll have to have a wager between the photographers as to who captures the first Perseid of the night with a camera. See you there. Pook

See you there then Pook - the good news being that the weather looks as if we might get a good session, the forecast having changed dramatically over the weekend!
Paul.
