Hi folks,
The last weekend for Delamont observing on the programme card for the 2015-2016 season is planned for 8th-9th April. Unfortunately yet again the weather has spoiled the party for Friday the 8th, which will be wet in the afternoon and not clearing until the early hours of Saturday morning.
Saturday is looking like a mostly bright day with an occasional shower in the afternoon but light cloud is forecast for Saturday night, so keep an eye on this thread and I'll do an update before then, I'll also text as many of you as I can but only if its on.
As you may be aware, I'm stepping down from IAA council duties at the end of this season, but I do hope to support IAA observing at Delamont when I can, which may be somewhat infrequent due to other weekend commitments. I will be working on observing dates for 2016-2017 season and continue to post a go/no go on this forum as normal, but I may not be able to attend some sessions. I'm therefore relying on all of you to support and promote Delamont observing when you can, your support is helping to promote Astronomy and Science with the public and IAA members and help the IAA achieve its goals.
Clear Skies
David (Observing coordinator)

Hi folks,
Sorry to disappoint you all, but tonight's Observing at Delamont is cancelled due to the weather. There is an IAA event tonight at Benburb Castle, so if you can make it, please take care on the roads after the heavy hail showers!
David
